1. The Holy Bible.

The word bible comes from the Greek “biblio”, which means a short book, that is, “collection of short books”. The Bible has two major divisions known as the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Bible does not contradict itself in any of the books of the Old Testament or the New Testament. Unity is perfect, it has its foundation in one person: Jesus Christ. History is led by God.
. “The Bible is the book of life.”
. “It is the book of God, origin and sustainer of life.”
. “The Bible is the living Word.”
. “The Bible is the Word of the living God.”
There are many publications of the Bible in different languages and dialects. “… prophecy was never brought by human will, but the holy men of God spoke being inspired by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:21); “All Scripture is inspired by God, and useful to teach, to convict, to correct, to instruct in righteousness, so that the man of God may be perfect, fully prepared for every good work.” (2 Timothy) 3: 16-17).
The Lord Jesus Christ said to his disciples: “Search the Scriptures; for it seems to you that they have eternal life; and they are the ones that bear witness of me …” (John 5:39).

2. Jesus Christ.

God spoke through the mouth of the prophets, and spoke through their Scriptures, that He would send His Son, the complete and perfect revelation of the Father. Jesus Christ, God-Man: Immanuel (God with us), (Matthew 1:23). His Only Begotten Son (John 1:14). “He who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14: 9), (John 1:18). He is called the Verb (or Word) of God (John 1: 1). In Jesus Christ we have the Living Word, and in the Bible the written Word. Jesus Christ the Word is divine-human. Jesus Christ the Word became Plesh; He came into the world to reveal the Father to men (John 1: 1-14). Jesus had two natures, He was Perfect God and Perfect man. Jesus Christ is the personal Name and at the same time the title given to the Savior. Its meaning is “Jehovah is help or Salvation” (Matthew 1:21). “Christ means Anointed”, Just like the Hebrew word “Messiah”, that is, Jesus Christ is the Anointed of God. “In Him all the fullness of deity dwells bodily” (Colossians 2: 9).

3. Redemption.

Jesus Christ paid the full price for the redemption of mankind (Colossians 1:13). Jesus Christ’s redemption of the human race is liberation from the power of darkness, and the purpose is to live under the sovereignty or kingdom of God’s love. (Ephesians 2: 1-3; 2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus Christ accomplishes this redemption through His blood shed on the cross. (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 1: 7; Colossians 1:14). Jesus gave His Life as a “ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). “He gave himself a ransom for all” (1 Tim. 2: 6). For a redemption that is eternal.

4. Regeneration.

It consists of the “new birth” of the sinner who has decided to give his life to Jesus Christ, accepting him as his personal Savior (John 3: 3; and 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17). The regenerated man rePlects the character of God in all his actions, being visible in the eyes of the world; In this sense, the Apostle Paul exhorted the brothers of the church that was in Rome, with the following words: “Do not conform to this age, but transform yourselves through the renewal of your understanding …”(Romans 12: 2). In another section, the Apostle Paul calls attention to the Corinthian church, related to the bad testimony of some brothers. “Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not err; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor those who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor swearing, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God “(1 Corinthians 6: 9-10). “And this was some of you; more of you have already been washed, you have already been sanctiPied, you have already been justiPied in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God “(1 Corinthians 6:11).

5. Trinity.

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God…” (1 John 5: 1).
Only a born-again converted person can understand that Jesus Christ “came by blood and water; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness; for the Spirit is the truth ”(1 John 5: 6). “Because there are three who bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one ”(1 John 5: 7). When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River the Word says that, “It came to pass that when all the people were being baptized, Jesus was also baptized; and praying the sky was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove, and a voice came from heaven saying: You are my Beloved Son; I am well pleased with you ”(Luke 3: 21-22). In these texts is the evidence that the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are one. And in Colossians 2: 9, it says: “For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” There is a Trinity. A group of the Jews besieged Jesus with questions as to whether he was the Christ, and he replied, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). And to his disciples, he said: “… When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me” (John 15:26). Every disciple of Jesus Christ must base his knowledge on this biblical truth.

6. Birth of Jesus.

The birth of Jesus Christ was announced by the prophet Isaiah 740-760 years before Christ. “Therefore the Lord herself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call her name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). The prophecy of the prophet Isaiah had its fulPillment The prophet Isaiah’s prophecy had its fulPillment during the reign of King Herod in Bethlehem of Judea. It was exactly fulPilled according to the prophecy previously spoken by the prophet: “While Mary his mother was betrothed to Joseph, before they were together, it was found that she had conceived of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 1:18). This event announced through the prophet, as said by the Lord was like this: “Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call his name Immanuel, which is translated: God with us” (Matthew 1:23). After Herod’s death Archelaus ruled in Judea, and fearing some reprisal from the new ruler, Joseph was afraid to return to Judea with the child and his mother, but warned by revelation in a dream, he went to the region of Galilee, and he came and dwelt in the city called Nazareth so that what was said by the prophets would be fulPilled, that he was to be called a Nazarene “(Matthew 1: 22-23). He came and lived in the city called Nazareth so that what was said by the prophets would be fulPilled, that he was to be called a Nazarene “(Matthew 1: 22-23).

7. Marriage.

Marriage can be dePined simply, as a human relationship instituted by God, which has been maintained in society, legitimized between a man and a woman who love and help each other mutually. God formed man for the purpose of placing him above all creation; however, the man was alone, unaccompanied by a suitable help. “And God said: It is not good for the man to be alone, I will make him a help meet for him.” (Genesis 2:18). For this reason Jehovah made a woman from one of Adam’s ribs, which God took while he slept, “and brought her to the man” (Genesis 2: 21-22). “Then Adam said: This is now bone of my bones and Plesh of my Plesh; she will be called Woman, because she was taken from man” (Genesis 2:23). Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one Plesh “(Genesis 2:24). In the new testament, the biblical references to marriage are speciPic, that is, they rePlect exactly as God designed it in the beginning, when he created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 2: 4). When the Lord Jesus Christ began his ministry, he had resistance from his people and above all, the priests and Levites and the Pharisees who were the most inquisitive, jealous of their traditions. On one occasion the Pharisees asked Jesus, intending to tempt him if it was lawful for a man
to put away his wife for any reason (Matthew 19: 3). The Lord Jesus Christ quoted verbatim the word written in Genesis 2:24 and responded to the Pharisees: “For this reason a man will leave father and mother, and be united to his wife, and the two will become one Plesh.”

8. Salvation and Repentance.

Etymologically we can refer to the word salvation as “rescue” or “preserve”. Saving implies giving health and safety. In the Bible, we Pind that since ancient times, God has wanted man to turn from his wickedness and repent and He save him. The relevant theme of the Holy Scriptures is salvation and repentance. In the Book of Genesis we delight in the tenderness of God in forming man and placing him over his creation (Genesis 1: 26-27). After man’s disobedience, God in his inPinite mercy, prepared the Plan of Salvation that was later announced by the prophets. God revealed Himself in His Son Jesus Christ and sent Him to earth to give sinful man redemption (Matthew 1:18; John 1: 9). John the Baptist, the last of the prophets, who preached about Jesus called the Christ and referred to Him as: “The Lamb of God” (John 1:36). “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Jesus begins his ministry with an urgent message “… the time has been fulPilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near; repent and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). The moment a person decides to accept Christ as their savior, they will have a supernatural experience, as they will experience a transformation through repentance (John 3: 5). “And in no one else is there salvation; for there is no other name under heaven, given to men, by which we can be saved” (Acts 4:12).

9. The Blood of Jesus.

While Jesus was with his disciples in the region of Caesarea Philippi, he began to declare to his disciples “that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem and suffer a lot from the elders, and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and rise again on the third day ”(Matthew 16:21). And on another occasion, while in Galilee, Jesus told his disciples that he would be delivered into the hands of men, and they would kill him. (Matthew 17:22). The night Jesus was arrested, he was with his disciples in a place called Gethsemane, and he told them that his soul was very sad, even to death. (Matthew 26:36). Jesus voluntarily agreed to suffer death on the cross, and to shed his blood in ransom for sinners. By laying down his life on the cross, he was consummating the Father’s plan of salvation. In the law almost everything is puriPied with blood and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. (Hebrews 9:22). “Where there is remission of sins, there is no more offering for sin” (Hebrews 10:18). The Son of God shed his blood on the cross to cleanse us from “all sin” (1 John 1: 7). “To him who loved us and washed us from our sins with his blood” (Revelation 1: 5). “He redeemed us with his blood for God” (Revelation 5: 9). God’s word tells us that “we are justiPied by his blood” (Romans 5: 9). It is important that every disciple of Jesus Christ is convinced and believes that the blood shed on the cross is enough to cleanse him and forgive him forever all his sins.

10. Jesus Christ dwells in all believers.

When someone recognizes that he is a sinner and accepts Jesus Christ in his heart as Savior and Lord, there is a change in his personality. There is a renewal in the mind of the believer, because Christ entered to dwell in him. It is a supernatural fact; it is an experience that all believers in Christ experience. That is why the Word of God says: “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:15). And “… to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). It is not just believing, but receiving it, as the Word of God instructs. “… if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Because with the heart it is believed for justice, but with the mouth it is confessed for salvation” ( Romans 10: 9-10). At all times the believer gives public testimony of his new life and it is because Christ dwells in his heart, therefore the Scripture says “So that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; here they are all made new “(2 Corinthians 5:17).

11. Divinity.

The Word of God teaches that Divinity is the preexisting unity of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit; …” (1st Letter of John 5: 7). And there is no contradiction because it is the revealed Word of God and that is how it was from the beginning, as expressed by the Lord: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon us. the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters “(Genesis 1: 1-2). And elsewhere in Scripture it says: “Because the invisible things of him, his eternal power and deity, have become clearly visible from the creation of the world.” (Romans 1:20). And of Jesus Christ it says “For in him dwells bodily all the fullness of the Godhead.” (Colossians 2: 9).

12. The Promise of the Holy Spirit.

In the Old Testament is the prophetic book of the prophet Joel, which predicts the outpouring of the Spirit of God. (Joel 2: 28-32). This prophecy was fulPilled several centuries later on the day of Pentecost. When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, “the Holy Spirit descended on him” (Luke 3:21); but it was not yet the fulPillment of the prophet Joel’s prophecy. While Jesus was at the Feast of Tabernacles, “on the last and great day of the Feast, Jesus stood up and raised His voice saying: If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” (John 7:37); “He who believes in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will Plow from within him.” (John 7:38); “This he said of the Spirit that those who believed in him should receive” (John 7:39). Another time when the Lord Jesus was meeting with his disciples, he said to them: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, to be with you forever” (John 14: 15-16). “the Spirit of truth” (John 14:17). “But when the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me” (John 15:26). After Jesus was cruciPied, he “rose from the dead on the third day” (Luke 24:46). And he presented himself to his disciples and said to them, “Behold, I will send my Father’s promise upon you; but you remain in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endowed with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49). Then, “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all in one accord together.” (Acts 2: 1); “Suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a rushing mighty wind, and it Pilled the whole house where they were sitting; and divided tongues appeared to them, as of Pire, settling on each one of them.” (Acts 2: 2-3). “But this is what was said by the prophet Joel: and in the last days, says God, I will pour out my Spirit on all Plesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy; your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams; ..” (Acts 2: 16-17). The prophet Joel’s prophecy about the Promise of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was fulPilled. In chapter 2 of the book of the Acts of the Apostles it is detailed how such a great wonder happened.

13. The Church and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Church, has its origin in “ekklesía” and from there is born: congregation, assembly, meeting, temple. While Jesus was with his disciples in the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked them saying: Who do men say that the Son of Man is? (Matthew 16:13); And as Peter answered him “You are the Christ the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16), and Jesus, hearing Peter’s confession, said to him: “And I also tell you, that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it “(Matthew 16:18). Jesus refers to Himself when He says “and on this Rock I will build my church”, and at another time the Apostle Paul explains to the Corinthians that when the Hebrews walked in the desert “they drank from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the the rock was Christ. ” (1 Corinthians 10: 4). “… and put all things under his feet and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of Him who Pills everything in all” (Ephesians 1: 22-23) . “… and he is the head of the body which is the church, …” (Colossians 1:18). And the members who make up the body of Christ, the Spirit equipped with speciPic gifts and ministries for work in the Lord’s work. “For just as the body is one, and has many members, but all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also Christ.” (1 Corinthians 12:12) “Furthermore, the body is not one member, but many.” (1 Corinthians 12:14). “So if one member suffers, all the members grieve with him, and if one member receives honor, all the members rejoice with him” (1 Corinthians 12:26). “And some God put in the church, Pirst apostles, then prophets, third teachers, then those who perform miracles, then those who heal, those who help, those who administer, those who have a gift of tongues, faith for the same Spirit, and to other gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another to perform miracles, to another prophecy, to another discernment of spirits, and to another various kinds of tongues, and to another, interpretation of tongues. ” (1 Corinthians 12:10). “But all these things are done by one and the same Spirit, distributing to each one in particular as he wishes” (1 Corinthians 12:11). The Apostle Paul endeavored to instruct the Corinthian church for the work of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He took good care to teach them about the spiritual gifts imparted by the Holy Spirit for their benePit. In the First Letter of Saint Peter 4:10, he says: “Each one according to the gift he has received should minister it to others, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” Spiritual gifts are given by the Spirit to the members of the body that is the church for the purpose of making the preaching of the Gospel more effective; and the exaltation of the ministry of reconciliation that is manifested in the preaching of the Word of God. The gifts of the Spirit are for the ediPication of the body of Christ.

14. Baptism in water.

In the law of Moses, God commanded that every male be circumcised as a sign of his covenant with Abraham and his offspring. (Genesis 17:10). This ordinance was maintained until the fulPillment of the prophetic time of the birth of Jesus and the establishment of the New Covenant after Jesus was cruciPied and resurrected on the third day according to the Scriptures. Before Jesus began his ministry, John came baptizing in the Jordan. The etymology tells us that baptism comes from the Greek, and means “to put into water”, “to immerse or wash with water”. In the New Testament it is the gateway to the New Covenant community. When John the Baptist came preaching in the Judean desert, those who lived in Jerusalem and from all Judea and the provinces around the Jordan came out to him and were baptized by him by confessing their sins (Matthew 3: 6). John’s baptism was for the forgiveness of sins; That is why when Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him, he opposed him because John knew that Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus replied, “Leave it now, because that is how it is Pitting that we fulPill all righteousness” (Matthew 3: 13-15). After Jesus was cruciPied he rose again and appeared to his disciples and entrusted them with the task of preaching the gospel and baptizing those who believed. Henceforth the sign of the new Covenant became baptism. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19);” He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. ” (Mark 16:16). After the ascension of the Lord Jesus to heaven, the disciples obeying the commandment, began to preach from the city of Jerusalem. Baptism is considered a public testimony that the believer dies to the world and lives for Christ. “For we are buried together with him to death through baptism, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new life.” ‘(Romans 6: 4). It is important that everyone who receives Jesus Christ as Savior must be discipled and then baptized as established by the Lord Jesus after being resurrected.

15. The Lord’s Supper.

To have a good understanding about the institution of the Lord’s Supper, one should review the Old Testament Scriptures: Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy where the solemn festivals of Jehovah appear. “… in the Pirst month, on the fourteenth of the month, between the two evenings, the Passover is Jehovah’s.” (Leviticus 23: 5); “And on the Pifteenth day of the Pirst month is the solemn feast of unleavened bread” (Leviticus 23: 6). In another place we Pind: “You shall keep the month of Abib, and make the Passover to Jehovah your God; for in the month of Abib Jehovah your God brought you out of Egypt by night.” (Deuteronomy 16: 1-8). The celebration of Passover remembered the Lamb or sacriPicial victim, whose blood smeared on the posts and on the lintel of the door of the Israelites’ houses, prevented the angel of death from killing the Pirst-born of each family of God’s people . (Exodus 12:23). Passover in Hebrew “pesakh” means “to preserve”, “to show mercy”, “to overlook” or “to pass over”, as the angel of death or destroyer did not kill the Pirstborn of the Hebrews. It is also considered as the greatest redemptive act of God, regarding his ancient people. The Passover was instituted by Moses at God’s command, the same night that the people of Israel left Egypt, where they were enslaved for more than four hundred years. It was a loving and powerful intervention from God in setting his people free. The Passover Feast and Unleavened Bread were considered as two phases of the same Feast. Everything that happened to the people of Israel, their captivity, slavery and liberation was a preparation for what would have relevance in the New Covenant. The words of the prophet Isaiah given by the Lord, some seven hundred and forty years before Christ, had their fulPillment. “Therefore the Lord herself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and bear a son, and will call her name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14). “But when the fullness of time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman and born under the law” (Galatians 4: 4); “The covenant previously ratiPied by God with Christ, the law that came four hundred and thirty years later …” (Galatians 3:17). “Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call her name Immanuel, which is translated: God with us.” (Matthew 1:23). In the New Testament various Passovers are mentioned, which Jesus attended. At the age of twelve, he and his parents went up to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. (Luke 2: 41-42). Jesus knew perfectly the meaning of the Passover celebration and unleavened bread. “… John saw Jesus coming to him, and he said: Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29). John the Baptist was prophesying about the death of Jesus. The Lord Jesus celebrated the last Passover and ate with his disciples in the Upper Room on the night before his arrest. The Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, was near, and the chief priests and scribes were looking for ways to kill him; … (Luke 22: 1-2). The day of unleavened bread came, in which it was necessary to sacriPice the Passover lamb. (Luke 22: 7). Jesus sent his disciples to a certain man, to tell him: The Master says: my time is near; in your house I will celebrate Passover with my disciples. (Matthew 26:18). While Jesus was sitting at the table and the apostles with him, he said to them: How I have longed to eat this Passover with you before I suffer! (Luke 22: 14-15). “And while they were eating, Jesus took the bread and blessed and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said: Take, eat; this is my body, and taking the cup, and having given thanks, he gave them saying: Drink from it. all: for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26: 26-28). “… do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19). After being dead and buried the Lord Jesus rose “on the third day”. After the ascension of the Lord, the disciples obeying, followed the instructions on the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, in memory of him. Peter expresses in the 1st. Letter 1:19, “… the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without spot and without contamination.” “Cleanse yourselves, then, of the old leaven, so that you may be a new lump, unleavened as you are; for our Passover, which is Christ, has already been sacriPiced for us.”                      (1 Corinthians 5: 7). “The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? “The bread being one, we, being many, are one body; for we all participate in that same bread.”  (1 Corinthians 10: 16-17). “Because I received from the Lord what I have also taught you: That the Lord Jesus, on the night that he was delivered, took bread; and having given thanks, he broke it, and said: Take, eat; this is my body which is broken for you. ; Do this in remembrance of me.” Likewise he also took the cup, after supper, saying: This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this every time you drink it, in remembrance of me “(1 Corinthians 11: 23-25).

16. Divine healing.

Healing can be dePined as the complete restoration of a person’s physical, mental and spiritual health. When someone is sick, suffering from any disease, his body weakens, his spirits decline and he languishes spiritually; that is to say, that the disease affects life integrally. The soul, body and spirit are affected, since we are tripartite beings. (1st Thessalonians 5:23). It is essential to take a tour of the biblical context to know some of the diseases mentioned in the Old Testament Scriptures. In the Book of the prophet Isaiah 38:21, there is the account of the illness of King Hezekiah, who literally suffered from a sore. It is not indicated in which part of his body, but he does mention the king’s bad mood, because he says that “he was in bitterness.” King Hezekiah cried out to Jehovah and with tears asked to be healed. For his healing, the prophet Isaiah had said “Take Pig dough, and let’s put it on the wound, and it will heal” (Isaiah 38:21). Another testimony is in the 2nd. Book of Kings 4:32, when the son of a Shunammite woman, whose son fell ill with a headache and died. The child’s mother went in search of the prophet Elisha and he went with her to her home. Upon arrival, the prophet prayed to Jehovah and then stretched out on the child placing his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes and his hands on the child’s hands, and the child’s body became warm. The prophet applied this procedure twice and then the boy sneezed seven times and then opened his eyes. In this case there was resurrection and healing at the same time. In the book of Numbers 12:13, it relates the case of Mary the sister of Moses, who fell ill with leprosy, and her brother prayed to Jehovah to heal her and the Lord ordered that she be thrown out of the camp for seven days and went healed; then she returned to the congregation. In chapter 5 of the 2nd. Book of Kings, is related about Naaman, general of the army of the king of Syria, a brave man, but a leper. On the recommendation of a girl who had been brought captive by Israel, he sent messengers to the prophet and the prophet sent him a messenger saying, “Go and wash seven times in the Jordan and your Plesh will be restored and you will be clean” (2 Kings 5:10). Naaman was angry and did not obey, but after hearing from his servants, “He then went down, and dove seven times into the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his Plesh became like the Plesh of a child, and he was clean “(v. 5:14). Faith, obedience and fear of God were fundamental elements for God to work healing in them. Before beginning his ministry, Jesus was tempted by the devil, to prevent the Plan of Salvation from being consummated. When Jesus began his ministry, “He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up; and on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue, according to his custom, and got up to read. And he was given the book of the prophet Isaiah; and having When he opened the book, he found the place where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim freedom to the captives, and sight the blind, to set the oppressed free, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord “(Luke 4: 17-19; Isaiah 61: 1). Jesus began his ministry in the power of the Spirit, healing all kinds of diseases and freeing those possessed by the devil. In Capernaum, a city in Galilee, he released a man who had a demon spirit. In the same city he went to Peter’s house and healed his mother-in-law of a fever. He left there and went to other cities and being in a city he healed a man full of leprosy; another day he was teaching, in the midst of Pharisees and doctors of the law, he healed a paralyzed man who was brought by some men; and on a sabbath day he healed a man with a withered hand. After teaching a people who heard him, he entered Capernaum, and there he healed the servant of a Roman centurion. He healed the daughter of a man named Jairo, a principal of the synagogue; a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years was also healed. And she healed many sick of various diseases “(Luke 4:31, 38, 40; 5:12, 17; and 6: 6). Jesus told his disciples “He who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and even greater works he will do, because I go to the Father” (John 14:12). Anyone who has received Jesus Christ as a personal Savior and believes what the Scriptures say has the power to heal and deliver those who are oppressed by the devil. (Luke 10:19; Matthew 18:18). In Matthew chapter 10, verse 8, he commanded the twelve disciples to “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons; freely you have received, freely give.” In 1st. Corinthians 12: 4 says “there are a variety of gifts”, and in verse 9 it is written “and to another, gifts of healings by the same Spirit.” In the Gospel of Mark 16:18 (b), he speaks that among the signs that follow those who believe is healing the sick. “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.” And in James 5:14, he recommends that if a brother is sick, they should call “the elders of the church, and pray for him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; …” (James 5:15).

17. The Resurrection.

The Word of God teaches about the resurrection, and establishes in order: the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. “But now Christ is risen; the Pirstfruits of those who have fallen asleep is done.” (1st Cor. 5:20); and the resurrection of the dead in Christ, at his coming (1 Corinthians 15:23); then the other dead (Rev. 20: 5). The resurrection is the supernatural and sublime fact and we must only accept what God established, “So also the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, they will rise in incorruption. (1 Corinthians 15:42). It is important that the believer in Christ understand the importance of the resurrection, since the Word of God says that Jesus, our Lord, “was delivered for our transgressions and was raised for our justiPication” (Romans 4:25). In the Old Testament, the death of a child by a Shunammite woman is mentioned, and the prophet Elisha raised him to life after praying to Jehovah. (2nd Book of Kings 4:35). In the New Testament there are recorded various resurrections done by the Lord Jesus Christ. He healed the daughter of Jairus, one of the principals of the synagogue. (Mark 5: 41-42). He resurrected his friend Lazaro with four days dead, already stinking. (John 11: 43-44). The Jews did not lose an opportunity to persecute Jesus and tried to kill him, and one day of rest, after having healed a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years, and for this they questioned him, and Jesus answered them “Do not marvel of this; for the hour will come when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice; and those who did good will come forth to a resurrection of life, but those who did evil, to a resurrection of condemnation (John 5: 25-29 ).

18. Hell, heaven. Final judgment.

Hell is considered as the place where those who have despised the salvation accomplished in the Son of God Jesus Christ will be thrown. In the New Testament the word hell is found twelve times. In the Old Testament it was known as Abaddon, Hades, and Sheol. In Revelation 21: 8, he describes it as “the lake that burns with Pire and brimstone, …” The lake of Pire is mentioned Pive times and carries an implicit death sentence. Heaven. According to the Biblical dictionary it appears seven hundred and sixteen times in the Bible. Inquiring to delve a little on the subject, it was found that heaven “can refer to atmospheric and sidereal regions or the abode of God” The atmosphere that surrounds our planet, the second heaven can be the physical space beyond the atmosphere and the third heaven “the abode of God.” The Apostle Paul had a supernatural experience and he himself could not describe the majesty of what he saw and heard in the third heaven. “I know a man in Christ, who fourteen years ago (if in the body, I do not know, if outside the body, I do not know; God knows) was caught up to the third heaven.” In verse 4 it says “that he was caught up to paradise where he heard unspeakable words that it is not given to man to express.” The Word of God makes it clear that those who have believed in Jesus Christ will go to heaven. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). “He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the Only Begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18). The Apostle John also had an experience similar to that of the Apostle Paul, in the revelation that the Lord Jesus Christ gave to John in Revelation 1: 9-20. The Word of God gives security to the believer in Jesus Christ, since it says that “our citizenship is in heaven …” (Philippians 3:20); “He made us sit in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus, …” (Ephesians 2: 6); In the Gospel according to Saint Luke, the Lord Jesus Christ said to his disciples that “their names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:20). Final judgment. Regarding the Final Judgment, we understand that after the rapture of the Church, and after the First resurrection has taken place, which corresponds to the dead in Christ, at another time the second resurrection will take place and the Pinal judgment will take place. The Bible states that the beast and the false prophet “were cast alive into a lake of Pire that burns with brimstone. (Revelation 19:20). Elsewhere it says” And the devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of Pire. and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. ” Revelation 20:10).” And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of Pire. This is the second death. “(Revelation 20:14). The lake of Pire is also reserved for those who did not believe the Word of Eternal Life. “And whoever was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of Pire” (Revelation 20:15). “But the cowards and unbelievers, the abominable and murderous, the fornicators and sorcerers, the idolaters and all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with Pire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21: 8). The Word of God instructs us about who will enter the heavenly city. “No unclean thing, or that which makes an abomination and a lie, shall enter it, but only those that are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” (Revelation 21:27). The Apostle John saw “a great white throne and him who sat on it …” (Revelation 20:11). And he goes on to say: “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before God; and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged for the things that they were written in the books according to their works “(Revelation 20:12). “And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades they gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged each according to his works. “” And whoever was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of Pire. “(Revelation 20:13 and 15). God’s Word tells us in Romans 14:10 “… we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” And in 2nd. Corinthians 5:10, the Apostle repeats: “For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one receives according to what he has done while in the body, whether it is good or bad. Before the great white throne those who will be condemned will appear and before the judgment seat of Christ the redeemed will appear to receive the reward that the Lord has prepared for that moment.

19. The Second Coming of Christ.

The Bible teaches us that our Lord Jesus Christ will return a second time, and he himself declared it to his disciples, at a time when they were feeling a bit disturbed, because the Lord had already told them “one of you is going to deliver me” ( John 13: 21b). And he continued by saying to them “In my Father’s house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; therefore I am going to prepare a place for you” (John 14: 3) and more clearly he told them “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and take you to myself, so that where I am, you may also be “(John 14: 3). Forty days after the resurrection, the Word of God says in Luke 24:50 -51 that “he led them out to Bethany, and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.” “And it came to pass that while blessing them, he separated from them and was carried up to heaven.” “And while they were with their eyes Pixed on the sky, while he was leaving, behold, two men in white robes stood next to them, and they also said to them: Men of Galilee, why are you looking at the sky? Jesus himself, who has been taken from you to heaven, will come as you have seen him go to heaven ” Acts 1: 10-11). This means that at some point Christ will return to earth, in the clouds, bodily and visibly. The apostle Paul shows us the revelation of the Spirit in this regard, without which the church would have been confused and without hope. “We who are alive, who will remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who slept” (1 Thessalonians 4: 15). In the same Letter to the Thessalonians 4: 14-18, we Pind two aspects in the return of our Lord: in the Pirst aspect he comes for his saints and in the second he comes with them (Colossians 3: 4; and Zechariah 14: 5 ). The Second Coming of Christ is not a fantasy, it is a reality, He comes to Pind a Church that awaits him. There are three witnesses to the fact of the Second Coming of our Lord. These are: the Lord himself, the two heavenly messengers, and the Holy Spirit through Saint Paul. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35); “But of the day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but only my Father” (Matthew 24:36). “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; …” (2nd. Peter 3:10). World events, multiplied evil, pandemics, earthquakes, clashes between countries, hunger, among others, indicates that the Lord Jesus Christ comes to look for those who await him, as he says in 2nd. Timothy 4: 8. “For the rest the Crown of justice is reserved for me, and not only to me, but to those who love and await his coming”

20. The Offerings.

The word offering is understood as what is offered. In the Old Covenant there were various types of offerings. Offerings to Jehovah God were to be perfect. For this reason, when the people brought their offerings, of animals or agricultural products, they had to be without defects. The Offerings for the tabernacle were of a voluntary heart; likewise, the ransom offering should be half a cycle for both the rich and the poor. (Genesis 4: 4; Exodus 25: 2; and 30:15). When Jesus began his ministry, the law given by God to Moses was still kept. Jesus attended the Synagogue on Sabbaths and observed when the Jews went on to leave their offering on the altar. On one occasion he told them: “… if you bring your offering to the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there in front of the altar, and go, First reconcile with your brother, and then come and present your offering “(Matthew 5: 23-24). It is not only about complying with what is established, but doing it from the heart for God. At another time, a leper appeared before Jesus and healed him, and recommended, “Go, show yourself to the priest, and present the offering that Moses ordered, for a testimony to them” (Matthew 8: 4). When Jesus was resurrected, he appeared before the eleven disciples, because Judas Iscariot was no longer there, as he had died. “And he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead on the third day …” (Luke 24:46). A New Covenant begins, and there are no more offerings, no sacriPices, no burnt offerings, because “Christ, having offered once for all one sacriPice for sins, has sat down at the right hand of God, …” (Hebrews 10: 12)
“Christ gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacriPice to God for a fragrant smell” (Ephesians 5: 2). “fragrant smell, acceptable sacriPice, pleasing to God” (Philippians 4:18). God’s perfect offering. If Jesus, being the Son of God, voluntarily offered himself out of love, in this way we must also correspond by love and obedience to what the Word of God establishes. Continuing with the theme of Offerings, the Apostle Paul taught the Churches he visited that they should participate with their offerings. “But this is what I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and he who sows generously will also reap generously. Each one gives as he proposed in his heart: not with sadness, nor out of necessity, because God blesses a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9: 6-7). “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufPicient in all things, you may abound for every good work …” (2 Corinthians 9: 8). “And he who gives seed to the one who sows, and bread to the one who eats, will provide and multiply your cement plant, and increase the fruits of your righteousness, so that you may be enriched in everything for all bounty, which produces thanksgiving through us. (2 Corinthians 9: 10-11). Paul’s insistence on offerings was due to the teachings of the Lord Jesus. “In everything I have taught you that, by working like this, you should help those in need and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said: It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). For service in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the participation of all those who love the extension of the kingdom of God is necessary. Offerings help needy people who lack resources. People who offer willingly will receive a reward, as the Word of God says: “And whatever you do, do it from the heart, as for the Lord and not for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, because you serve Christ the Lord “(Colossians 3: 23-24).

Conclusion

In the elaboration of this Manual of Faith, biblical material such as: Dictionary, Concordance, and Literature of Christian authors were used. The Reina-Valera Bible, 1960, Mundo Hispano, was the one used to study and extract the biblical texts that appear in print in this Manual. My joy is serving God and preaching His Word. With humility and respect I deliver a work that is not Oinished so that it bears fruit and be a blessing for many people. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).
